A Quick Synopsis of Cricket in Times Square (Contains Spoilers)
The story
begins with a boy, named Mario Bellini, who works the night shift at his
family's tobacconist, at a subway station. As he tries to sell old magazines
and papers to travelers, he hears a strange noise, a grating sound. It's a
sound that does not belong on the subway, not even in New York City. Mario
follows the sound and finds a small cricket. He decides, after pleading with
his mother, that the cricket is his new pet and lives in the kiosk, in a small
box of matches.Worth of every team in psl
After Mario
leaves at night, the cricket, named Chester, takes his head out of the matchbox
to take a look. Meet his first friend, a mouse from the city, called Tucker.
The mouse wants to know everything about how this little cricket ended up in
New York, so he runs back to his drain pipe house, grabs some food for both of
us, and sets out to listen to Chester's story. It turns out that Chester is
from the country, in Connecticut, and one day he jumped into a family's picnic
basket for a small snack. He ended up trapped in this basket and transported to
New York. He was able to get out of the basket at the Times Square subway
station and has been hiding in the corner for a couple of days, as he was
scared of this new strong and busy environment.
